Owner Profile

Jonathan Ota

After serving four years in the Marine Corp infantry with three tours to Iraq, I bounced around for a little while trying to find my place in this new world. I found that working with my hands was where I was suppose to be. During the several years I was a carpenter, I was always working with veterans who struggled the same as me and I always enjoyed making and refinishing furniture on the side. I thought my calling was to work with veterans until I found The North Bennet Street School and started their cabinet and furniture making program. It has been a life changing opportunity to say the least. My goal is to not only make one of a kind furniture but to somehow incorporate veterans in it as well, seeming how this craft has greatly improved my life it may for other veterans as well. I take great pride and passion in what I do and I am always looking for a new way to make something original. Creativity has been the biggest ingredient in balancing out my life, well maybe third biggest next to my wife and two sons. Life is journey and I am enjoying the ride.
