Michael Mesa, Certified Planning Mortgage Specialist NMLS # 1464064

As a United States Army NCO Veteran, Michael Mesa is a director of the VA The Fairway (www.vathefairway.com) team.  This dynamic team is directed in collaboration by Ethan Wilson and Michael Joy. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Michael Mesa arrived in the Pacific Northwest while serving in the United States Army. After completing his military service, Michael went to work in the real estate industry as a real estate agent.  He quickly realized that his skill sets in problem solving, project management, and planning were a perfect fit for the mortgage industry and began a career in mortgage banking in 1997. While successfully developing the skills to be a stellar loan officer, Michael earned the nickname “The Service Member’s Lender” due to his passion for helping fellow veterans achieve homeownership and his vast knowledge of the VA Home Loan Program. Building on his experiences of being a lender and homeowner, Michael has developed a turnkey program for his clients who want to achieve homeownership. In addition to his extensive mortgage experience, Michael also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Regis University. Michael values the relationships that he has developed with his clients and utilizes his professional network with agents, contractors, CPAs, and attorneys. These relationships ensure that his clients have access to all of the best resources. When Michael isn’t providing exceptional mortgage service for clients, he can be found working on his alpaca ranch in Puyallup or trout fishing at either Silver or Mineral Lake!
