Gunny’s Warriors

501c3 Foundation dedicated to Veterans and their families

Our mission is to provide awareness and information to Veterans and their families with compassion, support, advocacy, and networking related to Blast Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), called the “Invisible Wound” and it’s many effects on our warrior community. We also provide information and awareness for Veteran Brain donation to the CNRM/ DOD Brain Repository to further much needed research on the many effects of Blast TBIs.

Mike and Jan Pieraccini

We founded Gunny's Warriors in 2021 to honor the legacy of Gysgt. Ryan Pieraccini, our son.  Ryan, known as Gunny, was medically retired from the Marine Corps in 2015 due to his blast injuries suffered during his deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan after serving over 18 years in the Marine Corps. His mission after leaving the Marine Corps was the same, serve and protect " his warriors". He dedicated his life to helping Veterans until he passed away on November 8, 2020 due to a massive stroke and now we are dedicated to our warriors in his memory.Even now, Ryan continues to serve his warriors and his country because he donated his brain for research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent Blast Traumatic Brain Injuries.
